King's Kung-Fu& Tai Chi

Hexagram 34 大壯 changing to hexagram 55 豐

dà zhuàng
→
fēng

Changing line (counted from the bottom): 2.

What to read

One changing line: read the text of that line in the original hexagram. (Rule set out by Zhu Xi in the Yixue qimeng.)

Hexagram 34 大壯, line 2

貞吉。

The second line, undivided, shows that with firm correctness there will be good fortune.

The two hexagrams

Hexagram 34 大壯 — judgment

利貞。

Ta Kwang indicates that (under the conditions which it symbolises) it will be advantageous to be firm and correct.

Hexagram 55 豐 — judgment

亨。王假之,勿憂,宜日中。

Făng intimates progress and development. When a king has reached the point (which the name denotes) there is no occasion to be anxious (through fear of a change). Let him be as the sun at noon.
